StatSheet Projects Cincinnati as NIT Five Seed: 02/11/2012

StatSheet projects Cincinnati to make the NIT as a five seed. The Bearcats are #94 in the StatSheet StatRank with a 17-7 overall record and a 7-4 record in the Big East.

During the last four games, Cincinnati picked up wins against St. John's and DePaul but also took on a loss against AP #2 Syracuse and a bad loss to RPI #147 Rutgers.

Cincinnati is stable against strong competition, with a 6-4 record against the RPI Top 100 that includes a 2-2 record against the RPI Top 50 and a 1-1 record against AP ranked teams. While the Bearcats have three quality wins including RPI #24 Connecticut, AP #12 Georgetown, and RPI #40 Notre Dame, they're dinged by three bad losses including RPI #147 Rutgers, RPI #131 St. John's, and RPI #248 Presbyterian.

The last four teams into the NCAA Tournament with at-large bids are Purdue (15-9, 5-6 Big Ten, StatRank #57), Brigham Young (20-6, 8-3 West Coast, StatRank #43), Arkansas (16-8, 4-5 SEC, StatRank #65), and Texas (15-9, 5-6 Big 12, StatRank #55).

The first four teams out are Colorado (16-8, 8-4 Pac 12, StatRank #71), Minnesota (17-8, 5-7 Big Ten, StatRank #69), Ole Miss (14-9, 4-5 SEC, StatRank #68), and Oregon (17-7, 8-4 Pac 12, StatRank #70).

The next four out are Arizona (17-8, 8-4 Pac 12, StatRank #64), Iona (19-6, 11-3 MAAC, StatRank #56), St. Joseph's (PA) (15-10, 5-5 A-10, StatRank #48), and Xavier (16-8, 7-3 A-10, StatRank #61).
